Solar Collector

The new generation of Parans solar collector actively tracks and remembers the path of the Sun.

The SP3 can rotate through 350 degrees in two planes. This allows it to collect all available direct sunlight from sunrise to sunset. The collector memorizes the path of the Sun for any given location anywhere in the world. Furthermore it automatically adjusts on a daily basis to reflect the changing solar path.

The collected sunlight is fed into the building by six fibre optic cables housed in a 30mm diameter flexible conduit. Being polymer fibre optics these cables are highly flexible with a minimum bend radius of 50mm.
