Ideas for Teenagers to Sleep, Work & Play
There is a lot to be said for creating a safe place where teens and their friends can hang-out and you know where they are!
Creating this unique, fun space is not difficult it just requires some imagination, so hopefully the below will stimulate your own ideas.
Leave one wall for art; encourage the young adults to put whatever art work they like on it. Maybe they paint/draw/pin it themselves or find other art to use. A good protectant is cork board if pins are to be used. If paint is used think about an easy-care floor, there are some fabulous faux wood flooring about as well as over sized, good looking tiles.
Wallpaper Murals are also a fun alternative for a wall.
Creating a ‘den’ with corner or modular sofa’s works well.
Great seating idea using pallets
Bean bags are always a hit
Girls bedroom – note the large mirror!
Boys Bedroom – one textured wall e.g. brick gives a good effect
One long work top is great for multiple uses

Barn doors or any type of unusual door adds to the individuality of a space
One of these in XXXL is always much appreciated! Obviously good for games, movies and general TV viewing.
We know that teenagers like to live in the dark but bring them some natural light and transform their lives! As well as increasing your property’s value by adding proper natural light to a basement- natural light has proven to increase levels of retention as well as many other health benefits.
Please look at our Mirror Shafts designed specifically for basements, they bring a tremendous amount of daylight far into a room as well as providing ventilation and views to the outside.
